Tune-Ups:  A tune-up is defined as regular maintenance performed on an automobile.  Most vehicle manufacturers recommend a tune-up every 30,000 miles or two years, whichever comes first.  It is a good idea to practice preventative medicine when it comes to your car’s systems, and a tune-up is an ideal way to ensure your vehicle continues to run smoothly.  As with all preventive maintenance performed on an automobile, tune-ups can prevent a myriad of problems from occurring on a vehicle.  For example, filters that are not replaced can clog with use and prevent flow, starving the engine of fuel or air.  Another example, old spark plugs can cause engine misfire.  Spark plugs have a recommended service lifetime of either 30,000 miles or, in the case of platinum or iridium plugs, 60,000 to 100,000 miles.  Having regular tune-ups performed will help with the longevity and efficiency of your vehicle, and ensure that you will have it for many miles to come.

We typically do not do tune-ups at Anderson Auto Body & Paint.  Although, there are exceptions!  If we are already doing auto body repairs to your vehicle, and you would like to have a tune-up done as well (i.e. new spark plugs, timing belt, air filters), let us know when you drop off your vehicle and we will get it taken care of!

Also, when we do collision repair, we make sure to take care of all issues with your vehicle that are a result of the accident.  We make sure that mechanical issues are handled, whether we do it in house or we sublet the labor to trusted auto repair shops in the valley, you can be assured that your vehicle will be returned to pre-accident condition when you pick it up!

oil change3Oil Changes:  Changing your car’s oil regularly is one of the most basic and important things you can do to keep your car running smoothly.  Oil changes should be scheduled routinely.  Although routine, they are more than just an oil change, they are a preventative measure that includes inspecting the engine, filling fluids, and cleaning engine components to keep the motor running smoothly.  Having regular oil changes will help with the durability and effectiveness of your vehicle. It is an inexpensive way to ensure the longevity of one of your largest investments; so don't put it off!!

At Anderson Auto Body & Paint, we typically do not do oil changes, but we would gladly provide you with a recommendation of reputable shops in the area that provide the service.  If we are already doing a repair on your vehicle, and you would like to have your oil changed as well while it is in our shop, we would be happy to do it!  Just let us know when you drop off your vehicle.

Mechanical Maintenance:  If you are having any issues with your vehicle, i.e. your check engine light is on, your car isn’t driving as well as it should, or you have mechanical repairs that need attention due to a collision; stop by our location and have one of our knowledgeable estimators take a look at the damage/issue.  We do not perform all mechanical repairs in house, but we can take care of a myriad of issues.  We also can recommend trusted auto repair shops in the area to handle repairs that we do not perform.

Also, when you use Anderson Auto Body & Paint for your collision repairs, we take your vehicle to reputable auto repair shops for you, pick them up, and finish the auto body work, saving you a lot of time and hassle!  When your car is ready to be picked up from Anderson's, all of the issues associated with the collision (i.e. alignment, mechanical maintenance, auto body damage) will have been addressed, leaving your vehicle in pre-accident condition, and you with peace of mind.
