Dave Anderson - Dave was born in a small village, Salcimi, close to the Black Sea in Romania. He grew up with the aspiration of moving to the States, and living the American Dream. At an early age he began working on cars alongside his father and older brothers.
At age 17, he enrolled in an auto repair school in Romania for two years, where he was trained in both automotive and mechanical repairs. He worked as a truck driver until the age of 20, before joining the military, where he served 18 months. At age 22, Dave defected from Romania, escaping the harsh times of the communist regime of Dictator Nicolae Ceausescu, landing himself in Austria at a refugee camp.
Though times were tough, being without his family and friends, he never lost hope, never lost faith. He learned from an early age that hard work and honesty gets you a long way. The US Embassy in Vienna granted him political asylum, and at age 23 he moved to Portland, Oregon. Aurel Jarcov - Manager/Service Writer: Aurel began working at Anderson Auto Body in 2000. He was trained in painting and auto body repair by his father, Dave Anderson. He is ICAR certified in color matching, refinishing, frame straightening, welding, steel full-frame technologies and repair, and general mechanical services. Though Aurel is a certified, highly trained technician, he has recently switched gears to a management position, and is now working primarily in the office as a service writer. In his off time, Aurel enjoys spending time with his fiance Lushana, his daughter Alyssa and his son Julian. He also enjoys fishing, bowling, cooking, and working in the garden.
Bryan Scott - Shop Manager/Painter: Bryan painted his first part, the deck lid of the engine cover of a VW Bug, at age 16 with a can of spray paint in his bedroom. He has been painting for 24 years, and has been at Anderson’s for the past 13 years. He is a highly trained, experienced painter, and is ICAR certified in color matching and refinishing. Bryan enjoys spending time with his wife, Shawn, and five kids when he is not hard at work. He loves fishing and camping, and just being with his family.
